Maryam joined PHD in 2025 as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, bringing experience across residential, education, accommodation, industrial and healthcare projects.
She completed her Part II in 2023 and was awarded the Lawrence Baldon Trust Award for Best Dissertation. Her research explored the role of empathetic design in post-pandemic homes, examining how architecture can respond to users’ needs and social inequalities. Maryam has a strong interest in how people interact with the built environment and how inclusive design can promote wellbeing.
Excited to be part of the Healthcare team, Maryam is passionate about creating environments that respond to patients’ needs and support their recovery. She is committed to her professional development and plans to continue her studies to become a fully qualified architect.
