Sophie joined PHd in 2025 as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant within the Healthcare team, bringing a background that spans architecture, travel and community-focused roles. She completed her Master of Architecture (Part II) at the University of Sheffield, where her academic work explored socially responsive design, user experience and the role of architecture in supporting wellbeing and everyday life.

Prior to joining PHd, Sophie gained experience in heritage, conservation and community-focused projects, including work with churches and historic buildings. She supported projects across multiple RIBA stages, contributing to design development, technical drawings and coordination with consultants and stakeholders. This experience developed a strong appreciation for sensitive, context-led design and the importance of engaging with communities to deliver meaningful, long-lasting spaces.

Alongside her architectural experience, Sophie brings a background in travel and event coordination, strengthening her organisational skills, adaptability and ability to communicate clearly with diverse groups of people.

Outside of the studio, Sophie enjoys yoga, art and spending time outdoors, often drawing inspiration from travel pursuits. A lesser-known fact is that she has worked as a tour leader, organising and guiding trips across Australia.
