PHd provided Lead Consultant & Architect Services from inception to completion to create an exemplar unit which was commended by the British Kidney Patients Association Chief Executive who stated that the Unit set a benchmark for other Hospital’s future facilities.

Set within an existing first floor shell with restricted ceiling voids, PHd lead the team to create a unit unique in Britain in bringing together surgical, medical and nursing expertise for children with kidney and urinary system diseases, achieving a sense of light and space in an existing deep plan building area.
