PHd were selected to submit their vision for a 20 Bed Care Home Extension for St John’s Hospital, without the Bars, Lichfield in an invited competition. The design proposed also allowed for future growth of the site.

The Practice have since successfully secured Phase 1, which comprises the internal reordering of the existing communal areas adjacent to the historic Grade 1 Listed original building. The aim of Phase 1 is to rejuvenate and extend the existing accommodation for residents in advance of the new building and create a new secure communal garden area between the existing building and adjacent public road.
