The new Worcestershire Breast Unit created by PHd opened in February 2016. The £1.5m project has seen the extension and refurbishment of a redundant building into a state of the art dedicated Breast Unit.
The design created by PHd, in collaboration with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, avoids traditional NHS aesthetic to create calm, welcoming environment for patients more akin to a private clinic that a typical hospital outpatients department. The facility includes mammography, ultra sound, imaging, consultation and alternative therapy facilities in the secluded new unit.
